Out & About - Taste of Charlotte
Out & About is an occasional series that highlights some of the best and most interesting arts, culture and recreational venues in our vibrant city.
Looking for a way to kick-off summer? Head out to the Taste of Charlotte, Friday, June 8 - Sunday, June 10. Taste of Charlotte is the area's largest food festival and takes place in the heart of Uptown. It features more than 90 samples from some of the area's best restaurants.
Admission to the event is free; guests purchase coins for their food samples and beverages. Coins can be purchased on-site with cash, or guests can pre-purchase coins with a credit card or debit card on the Taste of Charlotte website.
The Taste of Charlotte festival doesn't end at the food and beverage spread. Guests can also enjoy the Marketplace, an eclectic, boutique style open air shopping area featuring jewelry, purses, face painting, clothing, gifts and more. Kids will stay occupied with the inflatable jumpers, games, rides and obstacles courses and of course everyone will enjoy the live entertainment all weekend long including live music, dancing and street performances.
