Queens University of Charlotte is pleased to offer affordable summer housing to college students with internships in the Charlotte area.

There are three different residence halls available for summer housing that offer flexibility on pricing. Interns may choose a room based on availability.

North Residence Hall (Available May 12 to July 28, 2012) - FULL

North is a fully-furnished, apartment style dorm. Apartments include a kitchen and living room. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, and large refrigerator. The living room has a sofa, arm chairs and dining table. There are three price points for North, all based on a pre-week cost:

• $250/week for a private apartment (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room) - FULL
• $150/week for a single bedroom and shared bathroom, kitchen and living room - FULL
• $100/week for a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room - FULL

Barnhardt Residence Hall (Available May 12 to July 28, 2012):

Barnhardt is a traditional-style dorm with hall bathrooms.  All residence have access to a common lobby area with sofa, arm chairs and flat screen TV.  Each room has a micro-fridge, but there is no stove or oven in the dorm.  There are two price points for Barnhardt, all based on a per-week cost:

• $90/week for a single bedroom and hall bathroom - FULL
• $75/week for a shared bedroom and hall bathroom - FULL

Amenities

• Fully furnished bedrooms with twin size bed, dresser, desk and closet
• Rent includes utilities, basic cable, local phone service with voicemail and ethernet connection
• Access to laundry facilities
• Access to a fitness center ($7 per week)
• Ample parking adjacent to dorm (parking permit required for a one-time $30 fee)
• $15 a week in Lions Dollars to use at the on campus Starbucks Coffee House.
• Free Wi-Fi

Hayes Residence Hall (Available May 12 to July 28, 2012)

Hayes offers suite style living with an adjoin bathroom. Interns are able to choose from single rooms or double rooms. Each room comes with a mico-fridge, but there is no stove or oven in the dorm.  There are two price points for Hayes, all based on a per-week cost:

• $115/week for a single room, sharing an adjoined bath - FULL
• $100/ week for a double room, sharing an adjoined bath - FULL

Location

Queens University of Charlotte's North Residence Hall is centrally located in the heart of Myers Park, one of the most historic and beautiful communities in Charlotte.  We're just 2.5 miles from downtown (about a 5 minute drive) and in close proximity to a city bus stop.  There is also a Harris Teeter Grocer located directly across the street from North Residence Hall.
