Board of Trustees
Michael Marsicano, Ph.D.Chair's Message:
Queens has a proud history and strong foundation that have driven its success since 1857: an award-winning faculty, an innovative curriculum, a rich heritage and an array of creative programs that provide signature educational experiences for its students. Queens makes an immeasurable impact as it enhances the intellectual, economic and cultural fabric of our city, our region, and beyond.
Our board is comprised of alumni and business and community leaders from around the United States who are committed to helping Queens fulfill its mission to be a leading comprehensive university and to equip our students for future success. As a board, we continually look for new and innovative ways to provide transformational experiences for our students.
As the university prepares to embark upon its next five-year strategic plan, focused on an effort to Reimagine Excellence, the board and I stand ready to support President Davies and our outstanding faculty and staff as they strive to achieve continued improvements in all aspects of the institution. Expanding academic offerings and programs, supporting faculty academic excellence, and creating even more rewarding and engaging experiences for our students inside and outside of the classroom are just a few of our goals.
I encourage you to pay us a visit, either in person or through exploring our website, to learn more about what's happening on our campus, the difference our students are making in the world around them, and just how energetic and exciting life can be here at Queens.
Michael Marsicano, Ph.D.Chair
Providing leadership for Queens University of Charlotte is its Board of Trustees, which includes as many as 40 corporate, civic and community leaders from across the United States. Trustees serve four-year terms, and at least one third of them are alumni of the institution.
The President serves as an ex-officio member. The board meets three times each year, and provides guidance for the institution in administrative areas of master planning, finance, and investment, and strategic issues such as enrollment, advancement, academics, facilities, and technology.
