History – From Ancient to Modern: The Fascinating History Behind Furniture Styles
Loyd Dillon will take students on a journey through time covering ancient, classic traditional and modern furniture styles. The class will study pieces such as a 2,500-year-old Greek klismos chair, French, American and English styles and those of modern designers such as LeCorbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Charles & Ray Eames and Saarinen. At the end of the course, students will not only to be able to identify most styles but to also learn some of the fascinating history behind them.

About the Instructor
Loyd Dillon has more than 40 years' experience, accredited by the CQRID (Council for the Qualification of Residential Interior Designers) as a Professional Interior Designer, accredited by The Interior Design Society at their highest level, twice President of the carolinas Chapter of IDS, twice President of the Charlotte Chapter of IDS, past NATIONAL President of IDS, one of only 9 people EVER to receive IDS's Fellowship Award -- their highest honor, teaching interior design at both CPCC and York Tech.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: There is a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations that are received at least 10 business days prior to the first day of class will receive a refund, minus the $50 cancellation fee. No refunds or make-up classes will be given after that time. If you do not officially withdraw from or attend a course, you are still responsible for the payment. If the course is canceled for any reason, you will be notified and your entire tuition fee will be refunded.
