Susan Harvey teaches health policy in the MSN program. Her nursing career has been divided between hospital-based and academic positions. Her practice roles included Nursing Consultant, Neurology, Moses H, Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, NC, and Director of Medical-Surgical Nursing at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC. She has held offices in the Mu Psi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International as well as District 5, NCNA. Her research interests include early recognition of patient problems and ethical dilemmas experienced by nurse managers. She has published articles in journals including the Journal of Nursing Administration, MEDSURG nursing, and the Western Journal of Nursing Research.
