Accelerated BSN
The Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) option offers high-achieving adults who hold a bachelor's degree in another field the opportunity to complete the BSN curriculum in 12 months.
This challenging option admits highly qualified students with a previous Bachelors degree, a cumulative and course prerequisite GPA of 3.00 or higher and completed course pre-requisites. Students move through at an exceptional pace, guided by their own dedicated faculty and advisors in small classes and clinical groups with individualized attention.
At the completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination, RN (NCLEX, RN) for entry to practice in any of the United States. Students who complete this program are encouraged to continue their education through graduate study in nursing.
General Education Requirements
A student who has earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and who has been admitted to pursue a second bachelor's degree from Queens University of Charlotte is not required to complete the General Education requirements of Queens University of Charlotte. However, a second degree candidate must meet the university's residency requirements and all requirements for the major leading to the second degree.

Chemistry - High School equivalent or college level
Students must be listed on the NC Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry and be certified in CPR by the American Heart Association for Heathcare Providers prior to enrollment. Other enrollment requirements include: physical exam, TB test, and current immunizations, as well as a satisfactory background check, fingerprint check and urine drug screen.

Total program nursing major requirements: 58 credit hours
Students are admitted for the summer term only. The ABSN option is designed to be completed within 12 months.
