Academic Departments

The mission of the College of Arts & Sciences is to educate students in the tradition of the liberal arts to prepare them for noble lives, productive careers and responsibly active citizenship in an increasingly diverse, technological and global society. The College of Arts & Sciences is composed of 13 departments offering 31 of the 36 majors available, with a variety of tracks and concentrations.

Art Department

The majors in Art History, Studio Art, New Media Design and Interior Design provide students with both the technical ability for expression as well as an understanding of the history of art. Human Services Studies students study and work with populations in diverse settings including group homes, community health centers, homeless shelters and correctional facilities.
