April K. Sipprell has been a faculty member at Queens since 2010. She is a North Carolina native who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in biology, and earned a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. She has been at Queens University of Charlotte since 2010 and teaches Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Principles of Biology, Writing for Biologists as well as other biology courses. She previously taught at the University of South Carolina, and also at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She enjoys activities with her two daughters, and spends her free time reading, watching soccer games and spending time outdoors.
