April K. Sipprell has been a faculty member at Queens since 2010. She is a North Carolina native who teaches Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Foundations, Writing for Biologists, and other biology courses.
Dr. Sipprell previously taught at the University of South Carolina and at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is part of the SEA-PHAGES biology faculty team at Queens working to implement authentic research experiences into the undergraduate curriculum. She currently serves on the University IRB, Title IX Investigation team, and the General Education Committee and as an academic advisor to biology majors.
