M. Cherie Clark is the Charles A. Dana Professor of Psychology and Faculty President at Queens University of Charlotte.
She earned her Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology in 1993 from Florida International University.
Before coming to Charlotte, she worked as a senior research associate at the Stein Gerontological Institute, the research arm of the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens in Miami, Florida.
She has numerous publications and presentations in a variety of areas in aging, including coauthoring a textbook, Human Aging, now in the second edition.
Her recent work has focused on design and evaluation of prevention programs for at-risk youth. She has worked closely with the Charlotte Mecklenburg police department for three years on the on their Steele Creek Youth Network weekend and summer programs.
Clark teaches courses on topics including adult development, aging, research methods, developmental psychology, exceptional children, and human factors psychology.
