Colleen Blanchard

Colleen earned her first M.A. in Chile where she was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.  During her time in Chile, Colleen gave multiple presentations about the US and her hometown, Nashville, TN, and held an internship in the Chilean congress.  Colleen also earned an M.A. in Spanish from UNCC, focusing on modern translation theories and theorists such as Suzanne Levine, Ortega and Gasset and Lawrence Venuti.  Colleen has used her language and business skills in working for government agencies such as the FBI and NGA, and as the Director of an international language company, inlingua.  Colleen has a passion for teaching languages and encourages all of her students to learn a foreign language to stay more cultural and competitive in today's global market.
