Rabbi Judith Schindler will be teaching courses in Jewish studies, the Holocaust and social justice. After 21 years in the pulpit, she is thrilled to now guide Queens students through thousands of years of religious wisdom to learn from the lowest and highest moments of Jewish history. She is the founding Director of the Greenspon Center for Peace and Social Justice, aiming to inspire advocacy and enable work for justice both on the Queens campus and in the greater Charlotte community.

She is currently co-authoring a book entitled Recharging Judaism: How Civic Engagement Helps Synagogues, Jews, and America, expected for publication in 2018 by CCAR Press. She has contributed articles to ten books on Judaism and has written editorials in The Charlotte Observer. She has led the creation of three Telly award-winning social justice documentaries addressing diversity in schools, urban education, and affordable housing. Her research interests are focused on social justice and the faith community, and she enjoys leading educational and interfaith trips to Israel and Europe.

Rabbi Schindler loves hot yoga and sitting on the sidelines with her husband, Chip, watching their two sons play high school sports.
