Dr. Lynn Morton is Associate Professor of English and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Queens University of Charlotte. She served as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2009-2010 and chairwoman of the English Department from 2005 to 2009. She came to Queens in 1990, and has taught literature and composition in the English Department, as well as in the Core Program in the Liberal Arts and the John Belk International Program. As a John Belk study-tour leader, she has taken students to Italy, Micronesia and Australia. Her literary research interests are women writers in the Renaissance and female stoicism in Renaissance literature, most recently in Shakespeare's "Othello." As the liaison for Queens to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, she regularly researches and presents on accreditation issues, learning assessment and issues in higher education.
