Spencer Carvalho was born on October 10, 1986 in Pocos de Caldas, Brazil. His father is Brazilian and his mother is from the United States so he has dual citizenship. He moved to the United States before his first birthday. He lived in New York until he was four years old when he moved to Connecticut. When he was five, he moved to Ohio. Spencer is an only child and his parents separated when he was five years old. He had an advanced vocabulary and was good at art. He had good grades until he reached high school when he quit worrying so much about his grades and also developed a problem with severe insomnia. He attended public school and then went to two years of film school in Pittsburgh. He currently lives in Ohio. Spencer has never had formal writing classes except for those related to screen writing. His favorite novel is Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk and his favorite short story is "The Raft" by Stephen King. He likes Chuck Palahniuk's work because his characters have good interesting dialogue which is a characteristic that he appreciates. He likes to write comedies and action stories that are generally fiction.
