- Knight Scholarship
The James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte awards competitive scholarships for students who engage the community in digital and media literacy initiatives. These scholarships, awarded to entering freshmen, provide $4,000 annually and are renewable for up to four years.
- Wendy Waite Communication Scholarship
Honoring a well respected journalist and cherished member of the Queens University of Charlotte faculty, the Wendy Waite scholarship is awarded to a deserving junior (two or more years) or senior (for one year) who demonstrates promise, a commitment to journalism, and a record of outstanding performance.
- Robert Knowles Communication Scholarship
Honoring a well-respected journalist from Charlotte, this scholarship is designed for one or more junior or senior communication major or concentration student whose goal is to contribute to public knowledge and improve the life of the community through a career in journalism.
- Outstanding Communication Student Awards
Award recipients are selected annually by Knight School of Communication faculty based upon academic performance and contribution to the Knight School of Communication. The Awards are presented to graduating seniors each Spring at Awards Convocation and the Hayworth College Awards Ceremony.
- Graduation Assistantship in University Student Media
The Knight School Graduate Assistantship in University Student Media recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in communication in the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. The assistantship supports the education and development of editors, journalists, producers, entrepreneurs and communicators engaged in university student news media, including online and print editions of The Queens Chronicle.
