Zachary White , Ph.D.

Dr. White’s teaching emphasizes the way we manage meaning and communicate in a variety of communication contexts. As Interim Director of the Master of Arts graduate programs in the Knight School of Communication, Dr. White teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Introduction to Communication, Sports: Communication and Culture, Modern Citizenship, Health Communication, Organizational Communication, and Mediated Constructions of Health.
Dr. White has served as a communication consultant for organizations and practitioners in the health care field. His research examines end-of-life communication and the challenges encountered by professional caregivers, volunteers, family members, and employees. Dr. White holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and is the founder of "The Unprepared Caregiver", a popular blog and resource for caregivers.
