Lambda Pi Eta

The Queens University of Charlotte Knight School of Communication is proud to offer our undergraduate students the opportunity to be honored with membership in the National Communication Honor

Society, Lambda Pi Eta. Since 1995, Lambda Pi Eta has been the official Honor society of the National Communication Association. With over 400 chapters nationwide, Lambda Pi Eta:

• Recognizes scholastic achievement in Communication Studies;
• Sparks interest in the field of Communication;
• Establishes and fosters relationships between faculty and students; and 
• Provides an outlet to explore graduate education options in Communication Studies.

For Queens students, it is an opportunity to be locally and nationally recognized for their achievement in Communication Studies. The Queens Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta engages in community service projects, hosts on-campus competitions in public speaking and graphic design, and brings speakers to Queens for the campus and community.

With the introduction of the new Knight School of Communication at Queens and the rising number of students interested in Communication Studies, our students and faculty saw a need to establish a chapter of the Communication National Honor Society. In the fall of 2008, Queens University of Charlotte chartered the Psi Eta chapter of Lambda Pi Eta. 

As a member of Lambda Pi Eta, Knight School students have unique opportunities to engage in the Queens community and gain real-world application of skills.
