Linda Christopherson is the Director of the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) of the McColl School of Business. In this role, she consults with organizational clients, and resident and adjunct faculty, to create customized executive programs and organizational development strategies. Some recent ELI clients include AT&T, Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, Carolinas Healthcare System, EnPro Industries, Duke Energy, Horizon Lines, The Carolina Panthers, Transamerica Reinsurance, McColl Partners, and the Mecklenburg County Medical Society. Linda is also president of Linda Christopherson & Associates, a consulting and organizational development firm created in 1998, specializing in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, strategic planning and executive coaching. Her clients include organizations in the arts, education, finance, healthcare, and human services.
Prior to starting her consulting business in 1998, Linda was an executive with a major international insurance company where her roles included Sr. Human Resources executive, Training and Organizational Development executive and internal consultant for strategic projects reporting to two CEO's. In these roles, she led executive teams that created a new headquarters business model, created new product and market strategies, and launched corporate culture change initiatives. She directed all training and organizational development activities for the US operations of the company, including executive development and coaching, management training and core skills training; as well as consulting with human resources leaders of operating companies in the UK and Canada.
Linda is also a committed member of the greater Charlotte community, having served a number of not-for-profit organizations in volunteer and leadership roles. Among these are the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board of Directors, JDRF Executive Committee, Chair of the Strategic Planning, Development and Nominating Committees and member of the JDRF Speaker's Bureau; Mecklenburg Council on Adolescent Pregnancy Board of Directors; the United Way, and the Adult Basic Literacy Education program. Linda is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
