Graduate Certificate in Coaching

Degree candidates in a master's program at Queens should contact the McColl Graduate Admissions Office for information about completing the Coaching Certificate. Individuals who wish to complete only the Coaching Certificate should apply to the McColl School of Business as non-degree graduate students.

Requirements for the Coaching Certificate include completion of a combination of core courses and electives for a total of 15 credit hours. The make-up of the 15 credit hours varies between the program options.

Coaching Certificate Program (Evening)

Core Courses- 9 credit hours
ODEV 640 Introduction to Coaching Theories and Application
ODEV 645 Advanced Coaching Theories and Practice
ODEV 650 Coaching Practicum

Electives- 6 credit hours

The 6 credit hours in electives may be taken from the MSOD, PMBA or MA OCOM graduate programs at Queens University of Charlotte.

Coaching Certificate Program (Low-Residency)

Core Courses- 12 credit hours
MSEC 605 Coaching Theories and Practice
MSEC 620 Interpersonal and Cross Cultural Communication
MSEC 630 Advanced Coaching Theories and Practice
MSEC 645 Executive Coaching Practicum

Elective Course- 3 credit hours

One three-hour elective course may be chosen from the following courses in the MSEC program.

MSEC 615 Understanding and Applying Research
MSEC 625 Applied Assessments and Measurement
MSEC 635 Group and Team Dynamics
MSEC 640 Business Acumen
MSEC 650 Practice Development and Management
