On-Campus Format

If you choose to complete your Flexible MBA classes on-campus, you'll have the opportunity to engage first-hand with high-caliber faculty and classmates.

  • Each on-campus class typically meets once per week in the evening (Monday-Thursday, 6-8:45pm).
  • Classes are highly interactive, engaging students in group presentations, case studies, and classroom discussions that challenge your perspective and encourage collaboration to tackle real-world business problems.
  • Teambuilding, leadership development, and networking with faculty members, executives and fellow students are integral components of the program and will begin at the required residency.
  • You may choose to take some of your courses online when it is necessary to accommodate your schedule.

Residency
Your MBA experience will begin with an immersive residency weekend, starting Friday and ending Sunday afternoon before classes begin. During the residency, you will

  • Become oriented to Queens' MBA program and the McColl School experience.
  • Acquire strategies for success and establish a framework for your personal and professional development throughout the program.
  • Discover how you will work in teams and cultivate skills that promote collaboration to solve business challenges.
  • Gain insights from an executive whose resume represents a vast spectrum of leadership experiences.
  • Complete the in-class portion of up to 2 foundation courses, if required.
  • Network and build relationships with classmates and faculty.

Program Length
The Flexible MBA is 36* credit hours. The flexibility of the program allows candidates to complete the degree in as little as 2 years or stretch course work out over a longer period of time to accommodate personal and professional schedules.  The average student finishes in 2 ½ to 3 years.

*Some students may need to take foundation courses (up to 6 credit hours). Students who wish to earn their MBA with a concentration will take an additional elective course, for a total of 39 credit hours.
