Ronald Shiffler , Ph.D.

Dr. Ronald E. Shiffler is dean of the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree from Bucknell University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He has written two textbooks and published numerous scholarly articles.
Dr. Shiffler’s academic experience includes international assignments in Hong Kong and at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, faculty positions at Georgia State University and the University of Louisville, and former deanships at Georgia Southern University (10 years) and Western Carolina University (six years).
Dr. Shiffler has been active with AACSB, the international accrediting agency for business schools. He has served on the organization’s initial accreditation committee, on the accreditation quality committee, on the task force for online/distance learning, and on over two dozen peer review teams in the U.S. and abroad.
Ron is a former Rotarian and previously served as chairman of the board for the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce. In years past, he served on the board of directors for the Georgia Coastal Regional Commission, and is chairman emeritus of the board of directors for the Ariel Savannah Angel Partners, LLC.
