Timothy Burson , PhD

Dr. Timothy Burson is a Professor of Economics at Queens. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Shippensburg University, an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a doctorate degree in economics from the University of South Carolina. Since joining the faculty at Queens, he has received a number of teaching awards, including the Queens University of Charlotte Teacher of the Year Award.
Dr. Burson’s research focuses primarily on issues of teaching pedagogy, and case studies that can be used in the classroom. He served as president of the Southeast Case Research Association in 2009-10, and was named a SECRA fellow for his contributions to that organization in 2010.
