Tracy is a member of the McColl School of Business faculty leading the Banking initiative and teaching Financial Accounting in the PMBA program.
Tracy joined Queens University in 2013 after retiring from Bank of America with nearly 30 years in a variety of leadership roles. Tracy’s last role at Bank of America was as the Consumer and Small Business Banking Compliance Executive. The organization she led was responsible for driving a culture of compliance, executing compliance program standards and policies and ensuring readiness for regulatory change.
Prior to her role in Compliance, Tracy led the Consumer and Small Business checking team for two years. The Checking team was responsible to design, price and deliver checking products through the bank’s distribution channels with approximately 35 million customer accounts. Tracy led the Bank of America Student Lending business in 2006 and 2007 and served as the Small Business Operations Executive from 2000 through 2005.
Tracy joined the bank in 1983 as a financial analyst and served in various Finance leadership roles until 2000 when she shifted her focus to business leadership.
A native of Spokane Washington, she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree from the McColl School at Queens University. Tracy also earned her 6 Sigma Black Belt certification.
Grooms is active in the Charlotte community with the Carolina Piedmont Red Cross and the Women’s Impact Fund.
