The Place You Want to Be

Undergraduate students in Dr. Dawn Chandler's "Principles of Management" class in the McColl School of Business took a creative spin on learning the value of team dynamics. As part of the course, Chandler tasked three groups with producing videos that showcase the Queens experience to prospective students, alumni, parents, and friends.

"Collectively, they do an excellent job of featuring Queens' academic, athletic, and social life, including the Center for Student Success, the John Belk International Program, and on-campus facilities like the Coffee House that make Queens a home away from home," said Chandler.

At the end of the semester, the video projects were judged by three senior administrators at Queens, and the group with the most votes had its video ("The Real Queens University of Charlotte," edited by Brieanna Singletary) featured on Queens' YouTube channel.

The "Principles of Management" class, like many others at Queens, aims to provide experiential activities like simulations, role plays, and team activities that give students hands-on learning opportunities. Read more information on the McColl School's undergraduate programs.
