Don McIlnay's career encompasses 36 years in consumer and industrial companies across world wide housewares, home improvement, hardware and building materials markets including 20 year of general management responsibilities in S&P 500 companies.
Mr. McIlnay was most recently president of The Stanley Works, Consumer Sales Americas. Mr. McIlnay oversaw Stanley Works's Proto industrial mechanics tools, Vidmar industrial storage, Mac Tools, Assembly Technologies, Hydraulic Tools, Supply & Services, Hardware (Stanley and National) and Asian and Eastern European emerging markets. He served as President ... of Tools group of Stanley Works since April 2, 2004. He served as President of Doors of Stanley Works since March 2003. He served as President of Consumer Sales Americas of Stanley Works from October 4, 1999 to mid 2003. He joined Stanley in October 1999. Under his leadership Stanley Works achieved major successes with its largest customers through successful category management initiatives, near-neighbour market opportunities, improved in-store service and more effective programs at the point-of-sale. Prior to joining Stanley in 1999, Mr. McIlnay served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Gibson-Homans Company, following an 18-year career with Newell-Rubbermaid Inc., that included tenures as President of four different divisions such as Levolor Home Fashions, a Newell Office Products, EZ Paintr, and Anchor Hocking Plastics. He serves as a Director of Industrial Tools Group and Emerging Markets of Stanley Works. He served as Director of Milacron Inc. from November 2006 to August 20, 2008. He holds BA in Marketing in 1972 and MBA degree in 1973, both from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
