Welcome to the McColl School of Business! Thank you for dropping by to learn more about us.
For more than 30 years, the McColl School has provided high quality business education in a high touch environment that yields a life changing experience. Our shorthand for describing what we do is: "Not just a degree. An experience."
And what an experience it is! You will develop leadership skills throughout each of our programs. You will be challenged constantly by renowned faculty. You will form new friendships and connect with a rich network of professionals and business leaders. At the end of your academic journey your knowledge base, your skill set and your confidence will have grown to levels you could not have imagined.
The foundation upon which the McColl School of Business operates is based on three principles: competence, character, and commitment to community. We believe these critical success factors shape the behaviors of leaders. Competence - a leader with the knowledge and skills to think critically and act decisively. Character - a leader whose values such as integrity, trust and responsibility transcend business and personal relationships. Commitment to community - a servant leader who gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
If these principles resonate with you, then please look further on our website. We offer a variety of opportunities for students, friends and visitors to interact with the McColl School.
We deliver an undergraduate business degree with majors in marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and international business. At the graduate level, we have a professional M.B.A. program for early- to mid-career working professionals and an executive M.B.A. program for seasoned executives. In addition, we offer a master's degree in organization development and a master's degree in executive coaching.
Two of our most popular community programs are the BB&T Distinguished Leaders in Action speaker series, featuring top level corporate and not-for-profit executives, and our Food for Thought luncheons conducted by our faculty on current topics and issues. The public is welcome to attend. Please visit our Speaker Series section for more information about upcoming events.
Thanks to of our long history in Charlotte we have developed an extensive network of successful alumni, business leaders and entrepreneurs who believe in our principle of commitment to community by volunteering to help the McColl School. Our active McColl School Alumni Association continues to grow in size and stature. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Circle consists of owners of small businesses and new ventures. These energetic folks are committed to helping us build a premier entrepreneurship program. Our Executive in Residence program enables students to interact with a variety of inspiring leaders from the business sector through mentorships, seminars, and individual consultations.
Finally, we are proud to include the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International seal on our website. This signifies that the McColl School has met or exceeded all quality standards expected of top performing business schools set by the premier international accrediting organization. This seal tells you that we embrace the ideals of the AACSB to deliver the highest quality business education in a spirit of continuous improvement.

Hugh L. McColl, Jr.
As a corporate executive, parent and citizen of Charlotte, I want to tell you how excited I am about Queens University of Charlotte and the McColl School of Business. Charlotte is growing daily in its international stature, and the McColl School is committed to being an important part of this growth.
The McColl School's programs make it possible for experienced managers to earn a business degree without interrupting their careers. Several Bank of America executives have been highly positive with regard to their personal growth and in terms of their value as Bank of America associates.
The McColl School programs do what all top-quality business schools do in that they create a learning environment wherein participants absorb the knowledge and develop the skills required to meet the challenges of a complex, constantly changing world.
The McColl School's faculty is well known for developing the best qualities in each student. The case discussion orientation insures that you will not only learn from the faculty, but also from the other talented and experienced executives participating in the class.
I have said on many occasions that I want the McColl School to be relevant, rewarding and respected. Based on my experiences with the graduates, I am pleased to say that these distinctive characteristics are being achieved. In summary, you will sense immediate improvements in your performance as well as feel long-term growth as you prepare for positions of greater responsibility.
I staunchly believe in Charlotte, just as I believe in Queens University of Charlotte and the McColl School of Business. It is a real joy to be part of this optimism and shared promise. And I invite you to join in the excitement of this endeavor. Together, we will do great things.
