Jerusalem The capital of the State of Israel, its seat of government, and the holiest city in Judaism. Also Israel's largest and most populated city.

Temple Mount Located in the walled city of Jerusalem, on the eastern side of the old city, it is the place where the Biblical temples were built, starting from King Solomon almost 3,000 years ago.

The Western Wall Located in Jerusalem, it is the holiest of all Jewish sites. It has also been called the "Wailing Wall" by European observers because for centuries Jews have gathered here to lament the loss of their temple.

The Sea of Galilee The largest freshwater lake in Israel where apostles were fishing when Jesus told them to try one more cast of the net, at which they were rewarded with a "miraculous draught of fish.”

Megiddo A tel (hill or mound) made of 26 layers of the ruins of ancient cities in a strategic location at the head of a pass through the Carmel Ridge, which overlooks the Valley of Jezreel from the west.
