Spain
Touring one of Europe's largest and most diverse countries offers a stimulating blend of multi-textured cultural history and beautiful landscapes.
“Today we had a once in a life time experience–we went to see a bullfight. What an incredible sport.”
A mixture of Moorish, Jewish and Christian heritages flourished here throughout the ages. Today, Spain's castles, mountains, monuments and cities showcase the best of yesterday and today.
Programs
Faculty-Led Program - A two- to three-week tour that explores Spain's history, art and architecture with time spent in the capital city of Madrid, beautiful Andalucia, the coastal town of Valencia, and Barcelona, one of Europe's great cities. Open to traditional undergraduate students in good standing at the end of their junior year.
Language- and Cultural-Immersion Program - A four-week stay in the small coastal town of Nerja, on the beautiful Costa del Sol. Traditional undergraduate students take intensive Spanish classes at Escuela de Idiomas and live in homes whose host families speak only Spanish. Students should have a minimum of five semesters of Spanish to participate.
Internships - Affordable, exciting and challenging internships allow students to work abroad and even live with local families. Our partner, World Endeavors, specializes in culturally immersive programs. Their goal is to make a direct and positive impact on both the interns and their host communities by providing the opportunity for life-changing experiences.
