Study in the most amazing places on the globe

Queens University of Charlotte's international study tours take students to many of the world's most fascinating places, and several of the sites are part of the United Nation's World Heritage Series program.

The United Nations' Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) created the World Heritage Site program "to encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity."  World Heritage sites are unique in being of prime importance to specific cultures, whether they be of cultural, natural or architectural importance.  From East Africa's Serengeti to the Pyramids of Egypt and from the Great Barrier Reef to the Alhambra in Spain, the sites are selected on a strict set of criteria and are then monitored and protected.  According to UNESCO "what makes the concept of World Heritage exceptional is its universal application. World Heritage sites belong to all the peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located."  For more information, visit the UNESCO site.
