At Queens, we believe that parents and guardians are an important resource to our student's success. Thus, we provide special orientation sessions for parents that will feature important information for parents about student financial services, student safety, health and wellness, and much more.
Parents must register to attend an orientation session. Registration for the Orientation process is comprehensive; therefore students and parents will be registered together under one registration. To register for the parent orientation sessions, please ensure that your student has listed you on their orientation registration. There is no additional cost to attend the parent orientation program.
Parents of FALL New Students
During ROAR programs and fall move in, family is encouraged to stay at one of our participating hotel sponsors here in Charlotte. These hotels have set up special pricing for Queens' guests. All hotels listed are within 5 miles of campus.
Parents of incoming transfer students may participate in a one-day Orientation Session on August 1, 2016 (Session 3). If unable to attend in the summer, students and parents can participate in a mini Orientation on Saturday, August 27, 2016 after new student move in.
Parents of incoming international students may participate in the International Student Orientation program. This separate program provides a longer orientation program for international students to allow them to settle and get acclimated to campus. To review more about the international orientation program, please check HERE.
Fall Arrival for Incoming New Students
All new students who have attended a summer orientation program will move-in on Friday, August 26, 2016. Parents are encouraged to attend the New Student Welcome and Sed Ministrare ceremonies on Friday, August 26 after move-in. Be sure to make reservations at one of our Host Hotels for fall accommodations.
