Transfer Orientation

Parent Tip:
Encourage your transfer student to participate in Orientation.
Even though they may be familiar with college life, things are always a little different at a new school.
Incoming transfer students will arrive on campus on Saturday, August 17. Residential students will move in on that morning. All transfers will participate in the New Student Welcome Ceremony and the Sed Minstrare ceremony in the afternoon and evening of Saturday, August 17. A detailed schedule of events will be provided at a later date.
Transfers will then participate in a half day Orientation on Sunday, August 18 from 9am - 12noon. During this fall Orientation session, transfer students will find out about campus resources and meet upperclassmen who can help answer any questions you may have.
Transfer students will be contacted by an academic advisor to register for fall classes before August 17.
Fall Orientation Session Schedule
The fall Orientation schedule is currently under development, please check back later for the full schedule.
*Special Note - Transfer students who transfer in less than 24 credit hours and graduated high school in spring 2013 or after will be required to attend freshman summer orientation.
