If your student did not include his/her Social Security Number on their application to Queens, this may slow down the financial aid awarding process (with the exception of international students).
Please contact your students' Admissions Counselor with questions.
While applying for need based financial aid is not required, it is encouraged! The application is free, so you have nothing to lose.
After January 1st, you can fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The Queens code is 002957. Please visit http://www.queens.edu/financial for more helpful information about completing the FAFSA and the types of aid for which you may qualify.
If you are admitted and have completed your FAFSA prior to March 1, 2015, you can expect a financial aid package to arrive in mid-March. After you have received your financial aid package, paid your deposit and received your log on credentials, please visit myfinancialaid.queens.edu to accept and/or decline your awards. Please contact your Student Financial Services Counselor with any questions regarding your financial aid package.
If you submit your FAFSA to Queens after March 1, you may still qualify for financial aid and can expect to receive your award package approximately two weeks after you submit the FAFSA.
Visit Scholarships & Financial Aid for more information on how to fill out your FAFSA and apply for financial aid.
If you have questions about any Queens Scholarships that are not need-based, contact your Admissions Counselor.
