At Queens, we believe that parents and guardians are an important resource to our student's success. Thus, we provide special orientation sessions for parents that will feature important information for parents about student financial services, student safety, health and wellness, and much more.
Parents must register to attend an orientation session. Registration for the Orientation process is comprehensive; therefore students and parents will be registered together under one registration. To register for the parent orientation sessions, please ensure that your student has listed you on their orientation registration. There is no additional cost to attend the parent orientation program.
Parents of FALL New Students
Parents of incoming freshmen may participate in the two-day, overnight Summer Orientation session with their students on either June 15-16, 2015 (Session 1) or June 22-23 (Session 2).
During the June Orientation programs and fall move in, on campus housing will be provided for students. Students will be paired with other incoming students to get the true experience of sharing space and getting to know their new peers. Parents are encouraged to stay at one of our participating hotel sponsors here in Charlotte. These hotels have set up special pricing for Queens' guests. All hotels listed are within 5 miles of campus.
Parents of incoming transfer students may participate in a one-day Orientation Session on August 3, 2015 (Session 3 - Will open in June 2015). If unable to attend in the summer, students and parents can participate in a mini Orientation on Thursday, August 27, 2015 before all other students move in.
