This section of our Web site is specifically designed to serve you — as you serve your students. As you explore the site, you will discover the uniqueness of Queens. We trust this Web site will enable you to assess which of your students would be a good fit for Queens and really make a difference in the classroom, on our campus, in our community here in Charlotte and in this world as they travel the globe.
Admissions Overview
At Queens, we use a rolling admission decision and notification process. However, some of our scholarships require receipt of an admission application, usually by mid-December (deadlines vary). In addition to a completed application, students must also have official transcripts sent to the University.
Our admission philosophy is pretty straight forward — we look at the entire student because we educate the entire student. There are no stated cut-offs for GPA or test scores. We strongly consider extracurricular activities with a focus on leadership, volunteerism / service, and commitment.
Students who do not have an academic and/or extracurricular record consistent with Queens University of Charlotte students may be required to submit additional information including (but not limited to): an essay, letter(s) of recommendation, resume, samples of scholarly work and an interview.
Applications are available online (no fee) at www.queens.edu/applynow. Paper applications ($40 fee) are available upon request.
*Applications require official transcripts and ACT and/or SAT scores be sent to Queens. For decision purposes, the admissions office will accept transcripts faxed to our office from guidance counselors while we await the official transcript.

Your students want to Thrive.
Queens University of Charlotte is a blend of what makes so many colleges and universities great: an innovative approach to learning, an environment that is specifically designed to maximize the learning and co-curricular experience, and a location that is second to none.
Innovative approach
Queens combines a mind-stretching, high quality liberal arts education with a two-semester internship, outstanding majors and the opportunity to travel abroad. 100% of our students complete the internship and close to 90% of our students travel abroad (the 2nd highest percentage in the United States).
The learning environment
Because Queens is a small university, we are able to create a learning environment that both challenges and supports students. We have a 12:1 student to faculty ratio (no teaching assistants), 5 NC Professors of the Year, small classes, a beautiful and historic campus and dozens of clubs and organizations for students to develop their leadership skills, a heart for service and an affinity for community.
Location, location, location
We are located in Myers Park, a beautiful, safe, park-like section of Charlotte, North Carolina. The campus is only 2.5 miles from Uptown. Our students have fantastic internship and job opportunities, love the weather and have access to city life that includes professional sports, a fantastic arts district, shopping, dining and numerous venues of entertainment.
