PRIVATE INSTRUCTION (Children and Adults):
Weekly, individual lessons in piano, voice harp, trumpet, violin, cello, clarinet, saxophone, flute, organ and classical guitar are offered at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels to students from the greater Charlotte area. Our faculty are qualified, extremely dedicated teachers who are members of the Queens University of Charlotte music faculty. It is our goal to actualize the potential of each student, whether music serves as vocation or avocation.
Instrumental instruction begins at age 7. Voice instruction begins at age 12.
SUZUKI PIANO, HARP, AND VIOLIN
Beginning students in these instruments may enroll in a specialized program of Suzuki instruction, which is an alternative, ear-training-based method which works particularly well with younger beginners. The Suzuki program combines individual lesson and group lessons.
Suzuki instruction begins at age 4.
INDIVIDUAL MUSIC THERAPY SESSIONS
Music therapy sessions are offered to children and young adults with special needs. A variety of musical experiences are used to improve cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. The goals of the sessions are individualized and are based on the needs, preferences and abilities of each client. Typically, sessions can be designed to improve receptive and expressive language, fine and gross motor skills, attending behavior, basic academic concepts, creativity and musicality. Music Therapy sessions are conducted by a student music therapist under the supervision of a Board Certified Music Therapist.
