Campus Safety & Security
Campus Safety & SecurityQueens' Campus Police Department was created in the early 1980s. Since that time, the university has maintained a stable base of officers. All Queens' officers are state-certified police officers, who have undergone extensive training and have the same powers as other certified law enforcement officers in the state of North Carolina.
The department is committed to creating an environment in which teaching, research, community life and public service may flourish. We are dedicated to upholding and enforcing the law and managing risks to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and guests at Queens. We strive to maintain excellence and integrity, and respect the rights and dignity of all persons with whom they make contact.
Our office is located in the heart of the residential quad on the main campus. We are extremely involved with student life, striving to foster an approachable and protective environment in which students, faculty and staff rely on our support for any number of safety and security issues.
The Campus Police are housed in the building located on the northwest side of the Evans Clock Tower.
