Be a part of the Greek Life system!

If you are interested in joining an NPC Sorority (Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Kappa Delta, or Phi Mu), you should participate in the NPC Sorority Formal Recruitment.

If you are interested in joining Queen's NPHC Sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc), you should participate in the NPHC Membership Intake.

If you are interested in joining a men's fraternity (Pi Kappa Phi or Phi Kappa Sigma), you should participate in the Fraternity Rush.

Formal Recruitment Sign-Ups

Registration for Formal Recruitment is completed online through the ICS website. You may register on your own over the summer, or you may stop by a table in Trexler during lunch or dinner on August 20-24, August 27-30, September 2-6 and September 9-11 to sign up.

Panhellenic Open House - Wednesday, August 28, 9:00pm in the Greek Village, located in Wireman Hall.

For those who have registered for Recruitment, you will pick up your formal recruitment t-shirt and meet your Pi Chi (Recruitment Counselor). Your Pi Chi will answer all of your questions and make sure you are prepared for Recruitment. Then, you will have a chance to see each chapter's lodge, mix and mingle with some of the sisters in each organization, and hear a few of the chants that make Greek Life fun!

What Not to Wear: Formal Recruitment Edition - Tuesday, September 3, 9 p.m. in Trexler Courtyard.

Watch this fun fashion show staring your Pi Chi's and a few special guests! This will be an informative event to educate you on the dos and don'ts when planning your recruitment attire. This is also your chance to ask those final questions and get ready for all the excitement of Recruitment Week!

Formal Recruitment - Thursday, September 12 - Sunday, September 15

Sisterhood Night - Visit all 4 chapters
Philanthropy Night - Visit up to 3 chapters
Preference Night - Visit up to 2 chapters
Bid Day - Sunday, September 15

At 10:30am meet in Burwell Parlors where your Pi Chi's will be deliver your bid from the chapter you were matched with. If you accept your bid, you will run to the Residential Quad where you will be shirted and greeted by your new sisters!

NPHC Membership Intake

Currently, Queens only has one organization recognized as a member the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). That organization is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. This NPHC sorority is a historically African-American sorority but is open to all students. The requirements for membership consideration include: a cumulative and current C+ average, full-time student status during the present and prior term, an official sealed transcript embossed with the university seal and an unofficial transcript, a letter of interest, two letters of reference, a completed undergraduate membership interest application, and one or more completed evidence of community/campus involvement forms.
