A Spring Festival of The Arts at Queens Event

Senior Dawn Anthony has been performing in the Charlotte area for years. She takes the stage at Queens to offer a lecture/recital focusing on West Africa's influence on global music. Joined by area musicians including pianist Lovell Bradford, bassist Ron Brendle and percussionist Adam Snow, Anthony will explore popular music and jazz in America as well as jazz fusion forms from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Her performance offers samba, salsa, Afro-Cuban and Peruvian styles.
