Join Queens' McColl School professor Dr. Will Sparks for a leadership conversation with Laura Schulte. As president of Wells Fargo's Eastern Community Bank, Schulte leads 14 states and the District of Columbia, 32,000 team members, more than 2,700 banking stores and 4,600 ATMs.
Under Schulte's leadership, in 2012 Wells Fargo contributed nearly $98 million in grants to non-profits in the Eastern region. This spring, Schulte became the 28th woman to be honored with Queens' Charlotte BusinessWoman of the Year award for significant, sustained contributions to business and the community.
During her more than 20 year career with Wells Fargo, she has held a variety of Community Banking leadership positions for California, Nevada, Utah, Southwestern Wyoming, and Border Banking, as well as various management positions in Finance, Credit Review and Internal Audit in Nebraska. Laura also serves as an Executive Sponsor for the Women's Team Member Network at Wells Fargo.
A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Schulte earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
