The Center for Ethics and Religion and The Chapel will present famed author and Harvard professor Dr. Harvey Cox, who will speak on "The Future of Faith: From Belief to Spirituality" on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 7 p.m. in Sykes Auditorium on the Queens University of Charlotte campus, 1900 Selwyn Avenue. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
Dr. Cox will discuss the "new interpretation of the history and future of religion" as described in his recently published book The Future of Faith. An extremely insightful and popular professor for many years at Harvard, Cox is the author of many books, including When Jesus Came to Harvard: Making Moral Decisions Today and his extremely influential The Secular City. Come hear Cox explain why we are now living in an age in which spirituality is replacing formal religion.
Queens is bringing Dr. Cox to Charlotte in cooperation with Myers Park Presbyterian Church and Davidson College.
