Preyer Lecture Series presents:

Dr. Seth Rockman of Brown University will present a lecture titled "Northern Manufacturers, Southern Slavery and the Antebellum Origins of American Business Ethics." A specialist in Revolutionary and Early Republic U.S. history, Dr. Rockman is author of "Scraping By: Wage Labor, Slavery, and Survival in Early Baltimore," which received the H.L. Mitchell Prize from the Southern Historical Association. The Preyer Lecture Series brings scholars to Queens to enhance the curriculum of the College of Arts & Sciences.
