The 2012 Annual Meeting for the Friends of the Library will be held Thursday, May 17th. Members are invited to join us for a reception at 6pm. At 7pm a short business meeting will be followed by a presentation by Ron Rash, author and former professor in the MFA Program at Queens University of Charlotte. Mr. Rash will discuss his latest novel, The Cove. A book signing and sales of The Cove by Park Road Books will follow the presentation.

Ron Rash is the author of four prize-winning novels: One Foot in Eden, Saints at the River, The World Made Straight, and Serena; three collections of poems; and three collections of stories. A recipient of the O. Henry Prize, he holds the John Parris Chair in Appalachian Studies at Western Carolina University. His latest novel, The Cove, was recently published to rave reviews.
