Event Details

The English Department Reading Series presents Michael Knight, author of two novels, "The Typist" and "Divining Rod"; two collections of short fiction, "Dogfight and Other Stories" and "Goodnight, Nobody"; and a collection of novellas, "The Holiday Season." His fiction has appeared in Esquire, The New Yorker and Oxford American. According to Publisher's Weekly, "'The Typist' is driven by earnest unaffected storytelling" and "paints a disquietingly dreamlike portrait of postwar Japan . . . not quite ironic, not quite darkly comic." The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.
