Event Details

Orientation at Queens immediately precedes the start of the fall semester and allows new students the opportunity to get acquainted to campus, meet new friends, finalize registration for classes, and find out about all that Queens has to offer. Our Orientation Board is made up of both staff and students who plan Orientation to try and provide every opportunity for new students to "settle in" to life at Queens. Additionally, we have Orientation Leaders, who are upperclassmen students who return to campus early to help our new students find their way. 

During Orientation, all new students will be kept very busy with programs, events, and workshops that will help prepare you for your life at Queens.  Programs will be provided during Orientation for ALL new students (including transfers and international students).  It is important that you block off Friday, August 17 through Monday, August 20 for these programs and that you attend all events offered. 

An outline of the Orientation schedule is available.  Remember that students should attend all sessions.   Meals will be provided for all students for Friday and Saturday, beginning Sunday, August 19 your meal plan will take effect and students must use their swipe card to eat in the Dining Hall.
