Paul Nitsch performs and his students win awards
01/31/12 - Music Artist-in-Residence, Paul Nitsch, performed at three different local concert series in one week recently. They included the CPCC Thursday Concert Series, The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art "Music and Museum" Series and the UNC-Charlotte Chamber Music Festival series last Thursday evening.
Also, four students who study piano with Dr. Nitsch in the Music Department won top prizes in the Charlotte Symphony Guild Youth Concerto Auditions held a week ago in Dana Auditorium. Emma Saba won the Junior Division Grand Prize, and will perform with the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra in May. Jonathan Chen and Sarah Saba earned Honorable Mention, and Katelyn Mullins won First Prize in the Piano Division of the Senior Level
