Ages: 5-13

Queens Running Camps are led by distance coach Tsehaye Baney. Coach Baney has been coaching at the Division I and II levels for almost six years and, before coaching, she was an accomplished runner at UNC-Charlotte, becoming a three-time conference champion, four-time NCAA Regional participant, two-time NCAA National qualifier and the Atlantic 10 record holder in the 3,000-meter steeplechase . The focus of each session will be to provide campers the chance to learn about long- and short-distance running and hone their individual talents. Sessions will be customized for each age group. For the younger age groups, this will serve as an introduction to the sport, seeking to challenge and encourage young athletes to enjoy the sport as much as we do at Queens. The older age groups, or more advanced athletes, will receive direction on endurance training, and learning drills to develop speed. Camp activities are designed to be instructive, engaging and FUN!! All skills levels are desired to attend.
