This social media series is the result of a collaboration between Queens' Hayworth College for Adult Studies and the James L. Knight School of Communication. The Knight School aspires to increase digital and media literacy in Charlotte. Through partnerships with local organizations, we are teaching the Charlotte community the skill sets needed to thrive in a digital world. It is not only important to access information online, but it is also important to understand how to use it correctly. We want to be a leader and resource to the communities we serve and we are doing so by teaching our communities and then encouraging them to serve others. To learn more about the happenings with digital and media literacy at the Knight School, please go to www.queens.edu/knightschool.
Please join The Arts at Queens in welcoming Creative Crossroads Visiting Artist Dawn Anthony and members of The Charlotte Jazz Orchestra and Charlotte's jazz community as they demonstrate how music was the heartbeat of the Harlem Renaissance and a catalyst for change inAmerica and beyond at the beginning of the 20th century.
