The social media revolution is dramatically changing the way businesses communicate with their clients. Just knowing how to login to Facebook or Twitter is not enough. You need a strategy. During this series of interactive social media workshops, you will be given the tools to create a strategic social media plan specific to your needs and interests.
2nd Workshop: Orienting Your Brand for Social Communication: Strategies to Target Your Audience
Through hands-on exercises, learn how to strategically target your audience by identifying key topics important to you and your stakeholders. Participants will leave knowing how to craft social media content and utilize tools that connects you to your audience and creates ongoing interaction.
Read about the full Social Media Series here. (Three consecutive Monday evenings, May 7 - 21, 2012.) Although you may register for individual workshops, we strongly recommend attending all three for a more comprehensive overview.

Each workshop will meet in Dana 110 of Queens' main campus (1900 Selwyn Ave.). Computers are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own laptop or iPad.
● Each workshop costs $59/each, or register for all three for a discounted $149.
● Register by Friday, April 20, to receive $20 off all three workshops.
● Non-Profits that register by April 20 receive $50 off all three. After April 20, they can still receive a 15% Non-Profit discount.
● Current Queens students, alumni and Senior Scholars receive a 10% discount.

This social media series is the result of a collaboration between Queens' Hayworth College for Adult Studies and the James L. Knight School of Communication. The Knight School aspires to increase digital and media literacy in Charlotte. Through partnerships with local organizations, we are teaching the Charlotte community the skill sets needed to thrive in a digital world. It is not only important to access information online, but it is also important to understand how to use it correctly. We want to be a leader and resource to the communities we serve and we are doing so by teaching our communities and then encouraging them to serve others.
