Queens University of Charlotte requires all full time traditional undergraduate and Presbyterian School of Nursing students to carry individual health insurance. All full-time undergraduate students enrolled as a Traditional Undergraduate, and students affiliated with the Presbyterian School of Nursing (PSN), will be automatically enrolled under the Queens Plan, which is provided by United Healthcare.
Full-time traditional undergraduates and BSN students will be billed each semester for this coverage. If students have comparable coverage and wish to waive coverage under the Queens Plan, they must submit an Online Waiver form by the August 31, 2015 deadline. Upon receipt of a completed Online Waiver, health insurance charges will be removed from the student's account.
To complete the Online Waiver, you must be registered for the Fall 2015 term. Updated registrations are provided to United Healthcare weekly on Monday starting the first week in July. Please wait until the week following your registration to visit https://studentcenter.uhcsr.com/ and enter your school name 'Queens University of Charlotte.' It is important to remember that the Online Waiver must be re-submitted each year. Print a copy of your confirmation for your records.
The Queens Plan policy term is from August 15, 2015 to August 14, 2016. The cost is $1,730 annually, which is billed in two equal installments per year.

If you are a new student-athlete to Queens, access the Athletic Training website and all the forms necessary to clear for athletic participation. There is required Athletic Injury Insurance for every athlete that is mandatory. The annual cost is $300, which is billed in the first term of enrollment for the 2015-16 year. Please know that completing the required forms for athletic participation is not a substitute for completing the online waiver.
