Hayes Residence HallHayes Residence Hall

Hayes Residence Hall first opened in 1914 and honors Queens Alumna and trustee Mariam Cannon Hayes (Class of 1937).  The Lily Long Lobby, located in Hayes Hall, honors Lily W. Long who served the University for a half century and was President from 1891-1899.

Hayes Hall is located on the Residence Hall Quadrangle, adjacent to the Blair House, Albright Hall, and the Clock Tower. This two-story residence hall houses 72 first year students in a suite-style living arrangement with adjoining bathrooms. Two Resident Assistants are assigned to the community, and one Assistant Director oversees the Hall and RA staff.  Hayes is also home to the Residence Life Living Learning Community that focuses on CORE 112.

Hayes Hall underwent renovations in the summer of 2009, with each room receiving brand new furniture.
