Each residence hall is equipped with a laundry room serviced by Mac-Gray Laundry Solutions. All machines are front loading, high efficiency washing machines. Please plan to purchase high efficiency laundry detergent to use when doing laundry. For a list of suggested laundry related items to bring with you, CLICK HERE. All laundry facilities are free, for residential student use only, and are located in the following areas:

Mail Service Center
Queens University of Charlotte has a Mail Service Center located on the ground floor of Trexler. The mail center is a fully function extension of the United States Postal Service. Each student is provided with a personal mailbox and key for the duration of their enrollment at Queens. The mail center serves as a place where students, faculty, and staff can purchase stamps, send packages, and print materials for class, organizations, and work. Students can receive mail and packages by utilizing the following format:

Queens students are held to a high standard of conduct both in and out of the classroom. At the very heart of Queens University of Charlotte is the Honor Code. The comprehensive Honor Code can be found here. Below are a few important community standards that relate specifically to living on campus.
- Alcohol - Alcohol is permitted in the residence halls for students who are at least 21 years of age. Students may not possess bulk amounts of alcohol. This includes but is not limited to kegs and party balls. We encourage students to consume alcohol responsibly by being aware of consumption amounts and not engaging in high risk drinking games.
- Drugs and Tobacco - Queens promotes a drug free campus. Students who are found in possession of illegal drugs (including prescription drugs not prescribed to them) will face disciplinary and possibly criminal action. Smoking tobacco products is not permitted in any building on campus. Please refer to the Honor Code to learn more about our designated smoking areas on campus.
- Harassment - Queens takes individual student safety and health very seriously. Students are not permitted to harass, bully, or abuse any students on the basis of race, creed, religion, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, etc. We believe that every student has the right to a safe, fun, and positive experience at Queens.
- Trespassing - Students are encourage to lock their doors each time they leave their residence hall room, suite, or apartment. Students are not permitted to enter other rooms, suites, apartments without permission from the resident of that space.
- Vandalism - We take pride in our community and our beautiful campus. It is the responsibility of all community members to maintain our campus and promulgate its beauty. Vandalism to the campus, another student's belongings, and university property is not permitted.
- Animals on Campus - Students are permitted to have fish in a 10-gallon tank and approved service animals.
- Fire Safety - Residential buildings are equipped with smoke detection and fire suppression systems that are linked to Campus Police. Due to fire and safety standards, never leave food unattended while cooking. Residence Life does permit students to have toasters, automatic coffee makers, and items with a closed heat source. Make sure to leave hot plates (portable burners), grills, candles, incense, fireworks, explosives, and elective blankets at home!
The Department of Residence Life takes student satisfaction seriously and we do make room changes for students. We begin the room change process two weeks after the start of each term. If you have questions or need assistance with a room change, please contact your Resident Assistant and the Assistant Director of your building.
Campus Services at Queens is responsible for housekeeping and repairs to our on-campus buildings. Students may submit a maintenance request by e-mailing a detailed message about the issue to email@example.com.
What To Bring
Consider these suggestions when deciding what to pack for your move to campus. Your residence hall room already includes a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser or wardrobe, and a mini fridge with microwave. Rooms in Byrum and North Hall include a standard-sized refrigerator and microwave. We encourage students to contact their roommate before moving to campus; there may be items that you want to share and should discuss before making any purchases.

- Toaster ovens, small grills, burners or hot plates
