Vandiver Center for Career Development

ESPN. Bank of America. Opera Carolina. The Charlotte Hornets. Duke Energy. Being on a campus only three miles from uptown Charlotte allows Queens students to take advantage of invaluable internship and career opportunities, no matter their major.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, nearly two-thirds of graduating seniors who had internships have reported that they received job offers; this is nearly twice the amount of job offers for students without an internship. With an incredibly competitive job market and an evolving work force, your skills, knowledge and experiences must be top-notch to be considered for a job. At Queens, we find career readiness crucial, and we support our students so that they succeed not only in the classroom, but also in attaining their professional long-term goals.

The Vandiver Center for Career Development offers essential resources and optimum preparation for Queens students and alumni such as one-on-one advising, an extensive online job board, networking and internship opportunities, career events and much more. All of our students are required to complete an internship before graduation so that they have unique, first-hand experience within their field of study. These opportunities are great resume builders and also serve as an authentic experience to learn the rewards and challenges within their career path.
